860 washington

Developed by Romanoff Equities, Inc and Property Group Partners, 860 Washington is a 10-story luxury commercial building centrally located in New York's Meatpacking District. It is "surrounded by the headquarters and retail flagships of innovative tech, finance, media, fashion, and lifestyle brands." The modern architectural style of the building, designed by James Carpenter Design Associates, "respond[s] to the industrial character of the Meatpacking District, while adding a contemporary aesthetic drawn from the minimalist material palette of glass, concrete, and finely detailed steel.” The modern building's elevators match this contemporary aesthetic. 860 Washington has three passenger elevators featuring a raised removable design; all elevators have nine panels, three on the back, and three on each sidewall. The back wall panels and fronts are faced with "Sandstone" Stainless Steel by Forms + Surfaces, while the side walls are faced with a Low Iron Acid Etched Mirrored Glass. The drop ceiling, reveals, base and doors are faced with Stainless Steel #4 Finish. The minimalist material palette of the elevators, but also of the building's architectural design, creates an opulent and modern ambiance.
