Tower 45

Designed by Swanke Hayden Connell Architects, Tower 45 or 120 West 45th Street, is a 40-story commercial building located in Midtown Manhattan. Constructed in 1989, this "modern, Class A" building is made of brick and limestone, features continuous ribbon windows facade, and has an impressive 15-story open-air atrium. As part of a 2016 infrastructure reno by new owners, Kamber Management, all 8 of Tower 45's elevators were modernized. Her elevators consist of custom stained wood veneer side panels, beautiful quartzite stone back panels, matching quartzite floors for continuity, and stainless steel reveals and finishes to compliment the rest of the cab.

 
 

the materials involved include the following:

  • drop ceiling: faced with stainless steel.

  • lighting: six (6) l.e.d down light system FEATURES WITH ONE (1) ILLUMINATOR STRIP AROUND DROP CEILING.

  • rear wall: faced with natural stone. all the panels are running vertically, wrapped with stainless steel & held in place with aluminum z-clips.

  • side walls: faced with wood veneer. all the panels are running horizontally & held in place with aluminum z-clips.

  • handrails: two (2) faced with stainless steel.

  • frieze, reveals, & fronts: faced with stainless steel

  • base: faced with natural stone.

  • floor: faced with natural stone.
